In this spirit, our Defence Consultant, Ltcdr Toni Thomas(Retd) , recently participated as a distinguished panellist at the workshop on “Demystifying Defence Procurement, iDEX, TPCR and Testing Procedures for MSMEs and Start-ups,” jointly organised by the Centre for Joint Warfare Studies (CENJOWS) and the Indigenisation Directorate, hqids india, New Delhi.
The forum brought together defence leaders, investors, veterans, industry experts, and startup stakeholders to deliberate on innovation funding, technology validation, procurement pathways, and the future of India’s defence startup ecosystem.
During the panel discussion, Lt Cdr Toni Thomas emphasized that successful defence ventures are built on the right balance of technology maturity, financial sustainability, and strong leadership, factors that ultimately transform innovative ideas into operational capabilities with dedicated TRL,FRL and PRLs respectively.
